Cartoon: Mann ist vor PC eingeschlafen

Me (Kath Hope) speaking with Croydon Radio Presenter, Dave Etheridge about Sleep Apnoea, which they both suffer from. Their wish is that this interview will raise awareness to those undiagnosed with this common condition, which is responsible for so many other medical conditions as mentioned in the interview, as well as making driving whilst sleep deprived an enormous risk and can cause depression and anxiety. Most sufferers are unaware they have Sleep Apnoea and think their snoring is harmless! People of all sizes, age, sex and race are all at risk.

Thanks for sharing Kath! Fantastic post and it’s great to see a radio station raising awareness. You’re exactly right, many people across the globe don’t even realise they suffer from the condition and they don’t know this can lead to serious health conditions in the future.

Thanks for talking about how sleep apnea can reduce the quality of sleep. I think a lot of people believe that as long as they’re getting enough sleep each night, everything is fine. But if their sleep apnea causes them to wake before they can get to REM sleep, they can be sleep-deprived even if they get 8 hours, because they aren’t getting the kind of sleep they really need.

Give yourself permission to enjoy an occasional dessert if your diabetes is properly managed
and under control. Search for decrease GI ratings
if you struggle with all forms of diabetes. Usually, for most women there are
    no signs of symptoms.

Most people think that snoring is a joke – but it’s not. Sleep deprivation is no joke for anyone and sleep apnoea brings it’s own potential health problems. It’s great to see local media raising awareness of this
